Our journey began in 1997 when Greg Fredrickson started taking on side jobs during weekends, installing lawns and driveways. By 1999, Fredrickson Service was established as a standalone business and quickly became a full-time endeavor.

Greg Fredrickson grew up in Northport, a quaint town located at the northern tip of Michigan’s Leelanau Peninsula. Raised on a family farm established in 1886, Greg spent his childhood helping his father and grandfather in the orchards, harvesting fruit, and working the crop fields. These early experiences taught him the importance of hard work, problem-solving, and attention to detail. Whether it was moving dirt to improve farming safety, preventing water drainage damage, or repairing equipment, Greg honed his skills and developed a deep appreciation for quality craftsmanship.
